Why is it so dang COLD?
This infographic shows the “polar vortex,” the wind pattern that, when at full-strength, keeps freezing temperatures in the Arctic, where they belong. With climate change, the vortex is becoming weak, bringing the cold temperatures that we currently see down upon the US and Canada.
